About the Role:
A well-established company in Pretoria is seeking a reliable and skilled Refrigeration Technician to join their technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair faults in refrigeration and cooling systems

Perform routine maintenance and servicing of units
-
Install new refrigeration equipment and ensure proper functionality

Inspect system components for leaks, efficiency, and performance
-
Replace or repair defective parts such as compressors, thermostats, and valves
-
Maintain accurate service records and job reports
-
Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards
-
Deliver professional communication and excellent customer service
Requirements:
-
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in refrigeration repair and maintenance
-
Trade Test / NQF Level 4 in Refrigeration or equivalent qualification
-
Valid driver’s license and reliable transport

Strong knowledge of compressors, cold rooms, and commercial fridges

Ability to work independently and under pressure

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Advantages:

Experience with F-Gas or Ammonia systems

Electrical knowledge (fault-finding and wiring)

Background in commercial and industrial systems
