About the Position
Our client, a reputable food manufacturing company in Midrand, is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee operations, drive business performance, and ensure continued growth and compliance in the food industry.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for production, quality, supply chain, finance, and human resources, working closely with senior leadership to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership and management across all business functions.

Develop and implement strategic plans for growth, profitability, and efficiency.

Oversee production, quality control, procurement, logistics, and distribution.

Ensure compliance with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations and processes.

Monitor budgets, financial performance, and KPIs to achieve business targets.

Lead, motivate, and mentor management teams and staff.

Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and teamwork.

Represent the company with clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Food Technology, or related field.

10+ years’ management experience, with at least 5 years at senior management level in the food industry.

Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes, quality, and safety standards.

Proven track record in strategic planning, business management, and financial oversight.

Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/production management systems.
